this is the first record on slow motion’s sister label, wrong era. wrong era takes the name from our monthly berlin party and has a focus on international artists who are dealing in all things electronic and discoid. the first release comes courtesy of kruton aka milo smee (bintus, power vacuum), who brings four tracks of mechanical funk and tweaking disco. included in the package is his remix of friction by gold blood, a track that has long been a secret weapon for a few select dj’s. there are also three brand new original tracks of heavy ebm jams that are guaranteed to keep dance floors moving all night long. wrong era arrives in a physical format with a bang!

our second release is brought to you by síthóu, a talented artist from our beloved hometown mannheim in germany. his tracks have a minimal touch, but are all strong and impulsive for every dancefloor. following the tradition of musicians from frankfurt/ offenbach/ mannheim, who are working together, patrick puts all his effort in this remix and delivered a masterpiece of timeless electronic music.

die beiden hamburger djs rich vom dorf und fabs# haben sich mal wieder richtig ins zeug gelegt. im august erscheint eine vinyl mit der katalognummer t&n025 beim hamburger label tach und nacht mit tracks, die wie für den sommer gemacht sind. unter freiem himmel entfalten sich die melodien und nehmen einen mit auf eine reise, auf der gute laune garantiert ist. regelmäßig auch weit entfernt vom nördlichen hamburg sieht man rich vom dorf hinterm dj-pult stehen. fabs# überzeugt auch hier wieder einmal mit seinem sound, der sein können schon mehrfach auf releases beim hamburger label tach&nacht unter beweis stellte. als remixer wurden keine geringeren als kollektiv ost und thomas lizzara engagiert. pressung auf grau marmoriertem vinyl.

after debuting earlier this year on a collaborative split with max_m for parachute records, italian producer wrong assessment lands on m_rec ltd with his very own 12. disillusionment is a tightly programmed techno tool packed with groove. there’s a warm and almost melodic bass line here, clearly indebted to the detroit groove, but darkened as it has become custom with italian producers and their sound. the loops that develop around it are of the hypnotic kind… the sound that recently made m_rec ltd label of the month on resident advisor. parachute affiliate cw/a (already involved in clockwork and avatism) delivers a prime time remix that transform the original into an aggressive techno anthem. playing intelligently with the elements of the original, the remix delineates a very interesting narrative as it fluctuates between harshness, funk and psychedelia. expect major playtime. on the flip side, ‘persecutory beliefs’ is basically a tribute to all proper techno dancefloors. with tension and tightness, the track revolves around a forward driving ravey refrain perfected for those late night sessions. closing the ep, ‘inner turmoil’ follows a similar path, but gets druggier and more crepuscular as it evolves. like throughout the entire ep, there’s a love for proper 90s techno at play here. dark stuff for late, late nights. is it clear that max_m and his label m_rec ltd have discovered major talent in wrong assessment. expect more great things throughout 2015.

for our second release in our catalogue we are proud to present a neoteric collaboration between two artists that have blended their respective musical styles to forge a three track extended play that thoroughly underlines our notion of proposing forward thinking aesthetics on one side we have wrong assessment, a young milanese artist that combines gritty synth lines with rumbling drum patterns whilst on the other we have m_rec boss max_m, a well known and experienced purveyor of the genre that delivers his undeniable touch and contribution to the ep, locking down a solid conception of their take on techno this three-tracker dictates a path that takes you from the spacey synths you find on the a sides toe tag where the two artists join forces, to the truly captive nature of max_ms nose out all the way to wrong assessments scaphoid that sums up the three tracks with a dashing rhythm through a percussive use of synthesis

we are very honoured to welcome the cologne-based producers hade + gutta to the local talk family. their debut release marks a further development of the local talk sound, balancing between house & bass. the ep kicks off with *nothing wrong*, a track built around a bouncy bass riff that lingers and weaves around a clever vocal splicing. *in me* continues where *nothing wrong* left off but adds more depth and ingenious stabs, it is a 100% bouncing track for sure. ending the ep is hades solo number *baphome*. a bass fuelled floor packer with nicely interwoven synths and a hypnotic house groove that remains present throughout the track. in conclusion - a garage-esqe belter with the right amount of wobbly bass to satisfy all your dj & dance floor needs.

kazak sees swaab return to wrong state, presenting one of his most direct and intense workouts to date, following recent releases on voltaire music, push-push, jesus was black and recovery tech. grunting bass drives along one of his typically stomping grooves, metallic atonal synths giving the track an icy cool. subtle dashes of infectious percussion increase the tracks energy, with a big atmospheric break allowing some hypnotic fx to take centre stage. it is a heady, dark ride that carries a lot of weight without ever overbearing.

like all great music, its often difficult to explain what it sounds like or convey the excitement you experience upon first hearing. wrong steps falls into this category exactly. describing his music as melodic house wouldnt do the intricacies and depths on display justice.
